The Electrical Wiring Technician plays a vital role in delivering high-quality dehumidification systems by ensuring that all internal wiring and component installations are completed with precision, safety, and efficiency. This role directly impacts the reliability and performance of every unit we ship. You will be a key contributor in turning innovative designs into real-world solutions that function flawlessly in the field.
Challenges
To thrive in this role, the Electrical Associate must be prepared to overcome the following challenges:

Precision Under Pressure: Electrical systems must be wired exactly to specification — no shortcuts. You’ll need to maintain accuracy even when production timelines are tight.

Reading and Applying Schematics: Interpreting complex electrical drawings, schematics, and ladder logic accurately is critical to correct wiring.

Adaptability in a Custom Environment: No two units are exactly alike. You must adapt your approach for unit-specific component layouts and routing paths.

Problem Solving in Real Time: You may encounter unexpected layout or wiring issues that require creative thinking and collaboration with Engineering to resolve.

Maintaining Clean Workmanship: Internal wiring must not only function correctly — it must be neat, organized, and safe for service and inspection.

Expectations
IAT’s expectations for a successful Electrical Associate include:

Master the Craft: Accurately wire unit components using schematics, ladder diagrams, and standard electrical practices.

Own the Details: Route wires cleanly, verify connections, and ensure all terminations meet NEC and UL standards.

Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with Engineering and Production to clarify questions, suggest improvements, and ensure quality builds.

Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Share wiring improvements and help refine processes to increase efficiency and reduce rework.

Keep Safety First: Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Be a Finisher: Prepare units for QC inspections by ensuring all electrical work is complete, tidy, and documented.
