Custom Protection for Custom Equipment: Partnering with Transhield

At Innovative Air Technologies, we build high-performance industrial desiccant dehumidifiers for all types of environments and applications — and when it comes to delivering our equipment, we treat protection with the same level of precision. Recently, we partnered with Transhield to provide a custom protective cover for one of our largest builds to date: a 30,000 CFM IDP desiccant dehumidifier.
At IAT, every desiccant dehumidifier we build is transported with protection — typically a heavy-duty tarp for our Rotor and IDP Series units, or a custom pallet & box for our Compact Series. Due to the nature of this project, we can’t share all the details, but the unit’s exceptional size and the need for short-term outdoor storage required something more robust than a standard tarp. That’s where Transhield came in.
A Tailored Fit for a One-of-a-Kind Unit
This wasn’t an off-the-shelf solution. We sent Transhield the full specifications of the IDP unit, and they created a custom-fitted cover designed to meet the exact dimensions and protective needs of the dehumidifier. The result? A snug, aerodynamic wrap that provided full coverage without compromising the unit quality.

Transhield’s patented cover material is a significant upgrade from conventional shrink wrap or tarping. Here's what sets it apart:
Water-Resistant – Prevents water intrusion during rain or high humidity.
Anti-Condensating – Reduces the risk of trapped moisture.
Environmental Protection – Shields against UV rays, dust, rocks, and debris.
Shrinkable Fit – Up to 20% shrink for a tight, streamlined finish.
Custom Add-Ons – Optional VCI additives for corrosion resistance, zipper doors for access, and clear panels for inspection.
